About OCIF
OCIF is a City of Calgary-funded program that:

Finds the opportunities with significant potential to create impact on the resilience and diversity of Calgary's economic future.
Fuels projects with catalytic funding that helps secure further funding and resources to ensure success and impact of a grant beneficiary; and
Fosters each grant recipient's impact and accelerates its success by looking for opportunities to integrate each investment into a holistic network of support across the Calgary ecosystem and beyond.

OCIF provides grant funding primarily for projects focusing on economic diversification, technology-driven innovations, skill training, programs and initiatives that support entrepreneurs and projects that attract, retain and create job opportunities in Calgary. 

A Project can be defined as an initiative that has a clear start and end date, distinct from ongoing business operations. It aims to achieve specific, measurable outcomes or deliverables.
